Former Government Chief Whip and Secretary of State for International Development. MP for Gedling, Andrew has been a powerful force within the Party. Jon Snow once described him as "unquestionably the best prepared Secretary of State", and he has always pushed, even in the light of cuts, for aid money to go to countries most in need, and where it can achieve the most. Andrew resigned in 2012 after a scandal which is now largely believed to have been fabricated to cause his downfall, and the issue is still one of great contention. Many, however, hopefully and confidently believe that he will return to the Cabinet.
