A talk by the Secretary of State for Education and Minister for Women and Equalities. Nicky was elected as MP for Loughborough in 2010, and has since risen quickly through the ranks of the Conservative Party. She was first appointed Economic Secretary to the Treasury in 2013, before being promoted to Financial Secretary and Minister for Women in 2014. Finally she was appointed Education Minister in 2015, alongside the Equalities brief.
Nicky will first be speaking for half an hour informally at a women-only event, discussing ways to get more women involved in politics. Following this, from 6pm, she will be addressing OUCA members on matters specific to the Conservative Party.
