Gavin Williamson MP Addresses OUCA

Gavin Williamson is the Member of Parliament for South Staffordshire, having been elected in 2010 with an increased majority. A Yorkshireman, he served as National Chairman of Conservative Students, before being elected as a County Councillor in 2001. Since his election to the House of Commons, he has served as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Northern Ireland, and PPS to the Rt. Hon Patrick McLoughlin, Secretary of State for Transport. In 2013 he was appointed PPS to the Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. David Cameron.
Gavin has extensive knowledge of the manufacturing sector, having successfully turned around a pottery in Stoke, as well as securing investment in his constituency by companies like Jaguar-Land Rover.

*The President apologises for the late notice of this event, but due to constraints on Mr Williamson's diary, this was when he was available. Gavin is someone with regular and close contact with the Prime Minister - I hope members will be able to make what will certainly be a very interesting evening*
